El Mestizo
El Mestizo (meaning someone of mixed Spanish and indigenous heritage) is a mysterious mercenary and sometimes freedom fighter operating during the American Civil War. Originally a strip in Battle Picture Weekly (created by Alan Hebden and Carlos Ezquerra), this has resurfaced as part of Rebellion's Treasury of British Comics stable.
Just as Major Eazy (another Ezquerra character) was converted into Cursed Earth Koburn, El Mestizo was paid homage to in the Dredd tale El Maldito (in 2015's Megazine).
